Tonight (Thursday, May 28th) Belmont Against Racism, The Social Action Committee of First Church in Belmont, Unitarian Universalist, The Belmont Human Rights Commission, and Belmont/Watertown Amnesty international Group #365 will be hosting an event on what actions are being taken here in Massachusetts to address mass incarceration. The featured speakers will be State Senator Will Brownsberger, myself, and Prisoners Legal Services Executive Director Leslie Walker, Esq.
The event will take place at the First Church in Belmont, Unitarian Universalist, 404 Concord Avenue, Belmont and is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served starting at 6:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 7:00 p.m.
The event is free an open to the public. Parking at the church is limited, though more is available on Concord Ave or in Belmont Center.
